Lymphatic drainage massage – 30mins

Many people whose surgery involves the removal of onelymph node can develop lymphoedema, it can also effect those who have undergone radiotherapy. Symptoms can include swelling and pain near the site of lymph removal or damaged lymph nodes. The lymphatic system is responsible for helping fluid and waste leave the body and for regulatingthe immune system, when this system becomes blocked it can make us feel sluggish and more susceptible to infections. Lymphatic drainage massage stimulates this system which in turn boosts the immune system, clears blockages, eliminatestoxins. This light pressure combined with light pumping movements can help to alleviate swelling and improve mobility.
A doctors note is required and lymphatic drainage massage can not be carried out without one.

Suggested Enhancement

Having one or numerous lymph nodes removed can leave you with a condition called lymphoedema. Lymphoedema is a condition that causes swelling in the body’s tissues due to build up fluid that is not able to drain properly from the tissues and can become very sore and painful. This massage eases this and helps to relieve the pressure and pain.
